At Wee Care we believe that the first years of a child’s life are fundamentally important. These are the cornerstone years that shape a child’s future.
We believe that children grow, learn and develop rapidly when they receive love, warmth, attention, encouragement, mental stimulation and nutritious well-balanced meals, with this in mind we promote in all of our nurseries:
Laura McConnell (Toddler branch)
Hello, my name is Laura McConnell and I began working in Wee Care in May 2012 after completing a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Studies at Stranmillis College. I worked as the Deputy Coordinator of our Kings Road branch for a year and a half before taking up the role of Coordinator at our Toddler branch on North Road.
Wee Care ensure staff are trained and educated to the highest standard and I have no hesitation in saying every day since I came to North Road Toddlers I have learnt something new! Along with my degree I also hold a Diploma in Childcare and Education and certificates in Behaviour Management, Paediatric First Aid, Fire Safety and Awareness, Food Hygiene and Child Protection. I am a Designated Safeguarding Officer (Child Protection) within the setting and have completed a Level 5 course in Human Resource Management.
Originally from Omagh I always thought myself extremely lucky to land my dream job so early in my career, two years on I was able to buy my own home here in Belfast and considering it's only a ten minute walk from Wee Care Toddlers front door I know I'll be here for a long time to come, lucky me!
"Hannah loved her time at wee care toddlers and I am very sad to say goodbye to the lovely helpful staff, great support provided throughout"
